New Cole Field House
A major expansion and re-envisioning of Cole Field House as a hub for athletics, academics and research will open a new chapter in the history of the university landmark.
For nearly half a century, Cole Field House hosted historic matchups and national championships that celebrated the best of sports. Now, a revitalized and expanded facility will build on that legacy.
The new Cole will be a real-world living laboratory of sport science where innovators, doctors, athletes and trainers converge to study and treat sports injuries of all kinds.
In this state-of-the-art research center located in Cole Field House, clinicians and academics will use “team science” to push the boundaries of their disciplines, improving the health and performance of people of all ages.

Serving as an orthopedic resource for thousands of patients in the region each year, with more than 40,000 square feet of space devoted to research in concussion, traumatic brain injury and other fields related to injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Student athletes will work toward peak performance aided by cutting-edge strength, conditioning and hydrotherapy facilities and advanced physical assessment and diagnostic technology.
